#1 La Capella

This one is ranked number one on my most Instagram worthy restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. Located inside the Hacienda San Angel hotel is La Cappella’s spectacular view of the city, Banderas Bay , and Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe that will blow you away. Seeing the church from the top angle, you almost feel as if you could reach out and touch it. When seated, you dine under a magnificent ceiling mural painted of angels. As you dine for dinner, a violin trio plays beautiful music for you to enjoy. My advice to catch the best photographs would be to make your reservations start an hour before sunset. This way you can capture the inside with good lighting, and watch the sunset while you eat. The city looks beautiful at night with all the lights. I wore a yellow two piece outfit to match the church in my photos, and to date is one of my favorite travel pictures.

Pro Tip: Across from the entrance of the hotel is a colorful home and hot pink food. Take some fun pictures in front of that before dinner.

#2 La Leche

In english la leche means milk, and once you see this restaurant you will understand why they chose that name. Like nothing I have ever seen before, La Leche in Puerto Vallarta is decorated only with white items. The table, chairs, walls, flooring, EVERYTHING is white. If you drive by, your eyes will even notice the outside of the building as a great photo opp. Once you enter, on your right is their “photo” location. They have decorated it with items like a telephone, milk jug, and utensils that are all painted white. Grab a few photos inside before heading to your table. Make sure to stand towards the front due to the bright light shining down in the back of the space. You don’t want your forehead all lit up and face shadowed in those photos. I wore a white dress with a colored design on it so I would match, but not blend in.

#3 IK Mixology Bar & Cuisine

Who doesn’t love a rooftop bar? Okay well add a rooftop bar on the beach with a cocoon swing; Welcome to IK Mixology, the perfect spot to sip and bite during sunset on the beach. The decor at IK is a total vice, and they have a wide selection of carefully designed craft cocktails and seafood dishes. Their menu is inspired by the vibrant flavors and aromas of Puerto Vallarta. The swing you should get a photo in is suspended and they have a ladder for you to get up, but make sure to move the ladder out of the way before someone snaps the photo. I wanted to wear something flowy so it would hang off the side, so I just grabbed a bathing suit cover up and wore it over my shorts for the photo. Such a fun way to get a photo of you and the ocean!

Pro Tip: Make sure to snap a picture at the top of the staircase leading into the bar. Los Muertos Beach and pier lookout will be in the background!
