At The Joy, Willamette Valley
There is a feeling I get when I arrive in wine country, nothing like any other trip or vacation. I don’t know if it is the rolling hillside, the subtle wind blowing freshness, the grounds’ energy, or maybe it is the anticipation of the wines ahead. Something I am sure of though is that wine country should be calm, relaxing, and peaceful. There should always be good company, great food, and of course, amazing wines.
Lucky for Willamette Valley, they are graced with a property so enjoyable, it’s almost like a heaven on earth. At The Joy in Anahata vineyards everything is agreeable with wine country. You are surrounded by the vines, perched up on a hillside, and overlook the valley during sunset. The second I stepped foot on the property, I knew it was something special. A tranquil feeling ran through my body, and I felt at home.

At The Joy has accommodations to sleep a large group of friends and family, but still feels quant and close. The main house has two guest rooms and a master bedroom with windows looking out in the vineyards. I loved waking up in the morning and turning on the fire, and enjoying the view with a cup of coffee in bed. I really cannot imagine a better way to wake up.

In the back yard there are three bungalows with patios looking to the pool. Our friends loved having their privacy, but still feeling together. The bungalows even have their own views of the vineyards on the other side of the property. In the basement there is a game room, pool table, and a large couch that could possibly sleep more. I mean, more the merrier right?
Throughout our stay, we lounged by the double sided fire, cooked in the chef approved kitchen, lounged by the pool, drank great wines, and laughed by the fire pit at night. I can say for all of our guests, no one was ready to go home. At The Joy is such a special place, and will always hold a place in all of our hearts and memories.
